Iori Suzuki is one of the newest names on this list, and already one to watch. Before drawing official cards, Suzuki won a Jury's Award at Pokémon's illustration contest, then debuted properly on a Scatterbug in Surging Sparks in 2024. The background is telling: Suzuki has drawn characters for Fire Emblem and art for Pokémon Sleep, plus manga work, and it shows — think realistic, fantasy-flavoured illustration with rich, saturated colour that really pops off the card. For someone this new to be landing illustration rares already says a lot. Keep an eye on this one; the best is surely ahead.
