Saitou is a bit of a machine — one of the most prolific solo artists in the whole TCG, with hundreds and hundreds of cards since he first turned up in the e-Card days. What I like about his stuff is the contrast: he'll paint a really detailed, realistic background and then drop a slightly stylised, almost manga-flavoured Pokémon into it, so the two play off each other. He's drawn so much of the game over the years that he's quietly one of its most important hands, even if he rarely gets the headline.
