Obsidian Flames checklist

Obsidian Flames is the Charizard set of the modern era. Released in August 2023, it was the first set built around the Tera mechanic — Pokémon given a crystal shell that shifts their type — and the whole thing was marketed on the back of one card: the Tera Charizard ex, a jet-black, gold-flecked Dark-type twist on the classic. Its special illustration rare is the crown jewel and one of the most loved cards of the whole era. The nice part is that away from the Charizard, the rest of the set is surprisingly affordable to chase. See how close you are below.
