Sumiyoshi Kizuki
213 cards illustrated by Sumiyoshi Kizuki.
Sumiyoshi Kizuki goes right back to the early days — she's been illustrating Pokémon cards since 1997, which makes her one of the longest-serving artists in the whole game. Like a few of the game's warmest illustrators, she comes from picture books, writing and even self-publishing her own alongside her magazine and card work. That storybook craft shows in the gentle, characterful feel of her cards. She's another of those steady, long-haul names that don't shout for attention but have quietly been part of Pokémon for the best part of thirty years. Real old-guard.
