XY checklist

XY opened the sixth generation in 2014, heading to the Kalos region and bringing the big new gimmick of the age: Mega Evolution. This is the set where Mega Pokémon-EX first appeared, powered-up mega forms of familiar favourites — it launched with M Venusaur-EX and M Blastoise-EX, with the mega Charizard following soon after in the next set.
